Spartan Heritage – the perfect uPVC alternative to timber windows
Many homeowners are looking to replace their timber windows with a modern uPVC alternative. Our Spartan Heritage range looks just like timber, but without the hassle of repainting and maintenance.
For the same price as timber, homeowners achieve better thermal efficiency and an anti-fade window that lasts much longer.
A Frame that’s easy to mistake for timber
The Spartan Heritage frame looks so similar to timber that it’s hard to tell the difference and that’s thanks to the slim, fully flush design, both inside and out. But don’t be fooled by the traditional appearance.
Available as standard casement and French casement styles, Spartan Heritage contains the same frame technology as our Spartan Modern range.
Eurocell’s Modus fully flush profile is used in fabricating the Spartan Heritage frame. Unique dual extrusion technology delivers a 100% recycled uPVC 6-chambered core, that has excellent thermal efficiency, with a flawless virgin uPVC exterior coating.
The 75mm, front to back, frame is lightweight yet strong, preventing twisting even under extreme pressure and ensuring a simple and straightforward installation.
U-values of 0.7 can be achieved on the Spartan Heritage range with a triple seal and triple glazing, which exceeds even Passivhaus standards. A U-value of 1.1 is achievable with double glazed panes.

Locks, handles and hinges
The Spartan Heritage range delivers the heritage look, but with the latest technology in secure hardware.
Locks and handles
MACO M-SPAG locks are provided as standard for the Spartan Heritage range. With a telescopic espagnolette it makes fitting and replacement much easier and since it is non-handed you don’t need to order stocks of different types.
This key operated multi-point steel lock contains four roller cams and two shoot bolts for extra secure fixing to the frame and a trusted barrier to forced entry.
We offer a range of handles in 4 main colours: white, black, chrome and gold to suit every frame colour and style.
Window Hinges
The Spartan Heritage range includes NICO hinges in a variety of colours to match the external hardware. We offer three main types of hinges:
- Standard casement style with top and side hung options.
- Fire egress – with complete opening to 90 degrees and compliant with Building Regulations for fire escape and emergency access.
- Child safety – with easy open to 10mm and a discreet two-hand operated function to allow full opening.
Hinges can be fitted for both side and top opening and include NICO hinge protectors in heavy duty steel to act as a further barrier to would-be burglars.
Customers can complete the heritage look with decorative glazing options
We offer a range of popular glazing options for the Heritage range including Georgian bars, decorative lead, stained glass and frosted designs. UV coatings can also be applied to further increase energy efficiency.
Spartan Heritage windows come in two glazing thicknesses: 28mm for double glazing and 44mm for triple glazing.
All Spartan Windows are manufactured in accordance with BS7412 and are Secured By Design accredited.
