Energy Efficient Doors
Although customers don’t rate the energy efficiency of doors as highly as windows, it can still be an important factor in their decision making, especially when the door has a large amount of visible glass or a large opening.
From the panes to the frames and the seals, we’ve thought of everything so that you can offer your customers some of the most energy efficient exterior doors on the market.
Chambered frames for excellent insulation
Eurocell’s advanced extrusion technology forms the basis of our uPVC frames for our Spartan bifold, French, patio and entrance doors.
We offer a 6-chambered insulated frame on our Spartan Traditional and Spartan Classic range and an even more efficient dual extruded frame for our Spartan Modern and Spartan Heritage range, containing 50% recycled uPVC.
Our composite door range provides solid timber cores for excellent thermal insulation.
Double and triple glazing options
Many homeowners are now interested in the benefits that triple glazing has to offer and we are seeing rising sales in triple glazed solutions, particularly in homes near busy roads where noise dampening is also required.
We offer our entire uPVC and composite door ranges with double or triple glazing options in a variety of thicknesses and with inert gas or dehydrated air fill.
Door U-values
The combination of insulated frames, triple glazing and weathertight seals and gaskets means that we are able to offer some of the most energy efficient doors available.
U-values as low as 0.7 can be achieved on certain styles, with thermal inserts, triple sealing and triple glazing:
- Spartan uPVC French, patio and entrance doors – U-values as low as 0.7
- Spartan bifold doors – U-values as low as 0.9
- Premium composite door range – U-values as low as 1.8
